Booking and cancellation policy.
How booking a driving lesson with us works, what happens if plans change, and what you can expect from us in return.
Last updated 23 September 2026.
1. Booking a lesson
Book through the Book a Lesson page by choosing a date and time from the calendar. The times shown are the times still free, and the one you choose is reserved for you as soon as you submit the form.
We then contact you by phone, text or email to confirm your pick-up details. Your lesson is confirmed once we have been in touch.
2. Prices and payment
Current prices are listed on Prices and Packages and include GST. Pick-up within the Canberra metro area is included. Pick-up outside Canberra metro is by arrangement.
Payment for a single or two-hour lesson is due before or at the start of the lesson. A package, including the one-week package, is paid in full before its first lesson. We will tell you the accepted payment methods when we confirm your booking.
3. Changing or cancelling your lesson
You can move or cancel a lesson free of charge if you give us at least 24 hours’ notice before the start time.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, 50% of the lesson fee applies.
If you are not at the pick-up point, or cancel after the instructor has arrived, the full lesson fee applies. The instructor will wait 15 minutes. If you are late, the lesson still finishes at its booked time.
To change or cancel, email gz.driving@globalzeno.com.au or call us. The time of your message is the time we count notice from.
4. If we have to cancel
Occasionally we may need to cancel because of instructor illness, a vehicle problem, or weather or road conditions that make a lesson unsafe. If that happens, we will contact you as early as we can and either move the lesson to a time that suits you or refund it in full. You will never be charged for a lesson we cancel.
5. Before your lesson
Please bring your current learner licence, provisional licence or overseas licence, and your logbook if you have one. Wear flat, closed shoes, and bring your glasses if your licence requires them.
For everyone’s safety, the instructor will not start or continue a lesson if the learner does not have a valid licence, appears affected by alcohol, drugs or medication, or is driving in a way that puts anyone at risk. A lesson ended for these reasons is charged in full.
6. Packages
The one-week package is seven one-hour lessons on consecutive days at the same time. A lesson in a package can be moved with 24 hours’ notice. Without notice, it counts as used.
If you would like to stop part-way through a package, we will refund the lessons you have not taken, less the difference between the package price and our single-lesson price for the lessons you have already had.
7. Discounts
The launch offer (5% off for our first 10 customers) and the Refer a Friend reward (10% off your next lesson) are applied to the lesson price. Only one discount can be used on the same lesson. Discounts have no cash value. See our Terms and Conditions for the referral terms.
8. Your rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a lesson is not delivered with due care and skill, tell us and we will make it right.
9. Questions
Email gz.driving@globalzeno.com.au and the driving school team will reply.
Everything in writing.
Three short documents in plain English. If anything is unclear, email info@globalzeno.com.au and we will explain it.
